How to Reconnect With Yourself During Times of Change

There are moments in life when you wake up and realize that somewhere along the way...

You've lost touch with yourself.

You still go to work.

You take care of your family.

You keep showing up for everyone else.

From the outside, life may even look successful.

But inside, something feels different.

You feel disconnected.

You feel exhausted.

You wonder where the joy went.

Perhaps you've caught yourself thinking:

"I don't even know who I am anymore."

If you've felt this way, you're not alone.

In fact, I believe it's one of the most common experiences people have—and one of the least talked about.

The beautiful thing is this:

Losing yourself doesn't mean you've disappeared.

It usually means you've been giving so much of yourself away that you've forgotten to come home.

We Lose Ourselves Slowly

Very few people wake up one morning suddenly disconnected from themselves.

It happens gradually.

Life gets busy.

Responsibilities grow.

Children need us.

Parents need us.

Work demands more.

Unexpected challenges appear.

We adapt.

We survive.

And little by little, we stop asking ourselves what we need.

Instead, we become experts at meeting everyone else's needs first.

Years can pass before we realize we've been living almost entirely on autopilot.

Change Has a Way of Awakening Us

Interestingly, it's often during life's biggest transitions that we begin searching for ourselves again.

A relationship ends.

A child leaves home.

A career no longer feels meaningful.

A health challenge changes our perspective.

We lose someone we love.

Or perhaps nothing dramatic happens at all.

One day we simply realize...

"This isn't the life I imagined."

While these moments can feel painful, they also carry an invitation.

An invitation to pause.

To listen.

To ask different questions.

Sometimes what feels like everything falling apart is actually your soul asking you to pay attention.

The Quiet Voice Within

One of the first things many people notice during periods of change is an inner restlessness.

It's easy to mistake that feeling as something being wrong.

But sometimes it isn't anxiety.

Sometimes it's awareness.

It's the part of you that remembers there is another way to live.

The part that longs for authenticity.

For peace.

For meaning.

For a life that feels aligned with who you truly are.

That quiet voice rarely demands.

It gently whispers.

The challenge is that modern life gives us very little space to hear it.

Healing Isn't Becoming Someone New

This is one of the biggest misconceptions I encounter.

People often come seeking healing because they believe they need to become a different person.

Stronger.

More confident.

More spiritual.

More successful.

But I don't believe healing asks us to become someone new.

I believe it gently removes everything that has been covering who we've always been.

Fear.

Old stories.

Expectations.

Self-doubt.

Past experiences.

Layers of protection that once served a purpose but no longer do.

Healing isn't about creating a new version of yourself.

It's about remembering the one who has been there all along.

Nature Reminds Us How to Return

One of my greatest teachers has always been nature.

When I spend time near the trees, watching the seasons change, I'm reminded that nothing in nature is in a constant state of blooming.

There are seasons of growth.

Seasons of rest.

Seasons of letting go.

Seasons of beginning again.

Yet we often expect ourselves to be productive, joyful, and certain every single day.

Nature reminds us that transformation has its own rhythm.

A butterfly doesn't rush its emergence.

A seed doesn't question whether it's growing fast enough.

Healing asks us to offer ourselves that same patience.

Sometimes reconnecting with yourself begins with something as simple as sitting quietly beneath a tree and remembering that you, too, are part of nature.

Small Ways to Begin Coming Home to Yourself

You don't need to change your entire life overnight.

Often, the smallest shifts create the deepest transformation.

Begin by asking yourself simple questions.

What brings me peace?

When do I feel most like myself?

What have I been longing to make space for?

Spend time in nature.

Turn off the constant noise for a little while.

Journal without trying to find the "right" answers.

Notice what lights you up.

Pay attention to what drains your energy.

Most importantly...

Give yourself permission to slow down.

You are allowed to pause.

You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out

One of the most comforting realizations is that you don't need to know exactly where you're going before taking the first step.

You simply need to be willing to begin.

Healing isn't a straight line.

Neither is personal growth.

Some days you'll feel deeply connected.

Other days you'll feel uncertain.

Both are part of the journey.

Each moment offers another opportunity to return to yourself.

Again and again.

My Approach

Whether someone comes to me for Energy Healing, Shamanic Healing, or Intuitive Guidance, the goal is never to "fix" them.

I don't believe people are broken.

Instead, I create a safe, compassionate space where you can slow down, reconnect with your own inner wisdom, and remember the parts of yourself that may have been forgotten beneath the demands of everyday life.

True transformation doesn't come from someone else giving you the answers.

It comes from rediscovering the wisdom that has always lived within you.

Beginning Your Journey

If you've been feeling disconnected lately, I hope you know this:

You are not behind.

You are not failing.

You are not lost.

You are simply being invited to return.

Return to your own wisdom.

Return to your own heart.

Return to the quiet place within that has never stopped waiting for you.

Sometimes the journey back to yourself begins with one deep breath.

Sometimes it begins with one conversation.

Sometimes it begins with simply believing that the person you've been searching for...

Has been within you all along.
